Cathy continues to lie in a coma after being run over by Niall Boylan unaware that she lost her cherished baby girl - Rachel - in the accident. Liam's son Ian is in trouble yet again and gets expelled from school and Liam has no choice but to put him into a fee paying school. Daisy returns home with Conor to be at Cathy's bedside and is there when Cathy suffers a brain haemorrhage and dies.
