With JIAQING and HESHEN caught in a deadlock at the Canal Trade Gang inner hall, FUCHANG’AN appears. Instantly, both sides try to win him over as reinforcement to deal with each other. Not wanting FUCHANG’AN to shift his ground, HESHEN threatens to expose his secret, putting him in a dilemma. Though HESHEN runs away during chaos, FUCHANG’AN is shot to death by NAYANCHENG’s hidden arrow, and then his dead body is burnt. PRINCE YONGXING is finally detained by JIAQING; whereas HESHEN orders LIU QUAN and DOUKOU to escort the detained CHANGDONG back to the capital, plotting to strike a fatal blow at JIAQING!
