Old Tom accidentally breaks Angela's favourite vacuum cleaner, so he and Lucy go to a Home Appliance Expo, to buy her a new one. There they discover that a spaghetti-eating competition is offering, as first prize, a new vacuum cleaner, so Old Tom enters the competition. However, just before it begins, Old Tom sees a baby in danger in a runaway pram, and he runs off to save it. Meanwhile, Angela, who is also at the Expo, mistakenly enters the competition, thinking it's a free lunch… and wins! Old Tom is a hero for saving the baby, and Angela gets her new vacuum cleaner, after all.
