The T-C (a ranch) has a new cook, Jody Bowers. Gene breaks it to him that the T-C can't use the road that's on route to the Flying M. The people of T-C are displeased and refuse to use the other route, which takes two days to ride. A crook tries to kill the owner of T-C, and puts to blame of Gene's boss.
