Arthur and Elizabeth discuss the growing fondness between herself and Peter Cartland. When Phyllis and Jack arrive, Gates develops an instant dislike for Jack. Peter changes his plans to host Elizabeth, and later, he admits a disturbing secret about the trouble at Layford Park.
