Violeta Mexia
Violeta Mexia is an independent trans woman filmmaker who was born in Obregón, Sonora. Starting to direct short films in the collaboration between the Cannes Film Festival and TikTok with "Intrusive Thoughts" in 2022. She created the independent company "Mexia Films" to produce and distribute hispanic films, starting with their short film "Carta de amor a alguien que conocí" in 2024, soon to be screened at the house of Mexican culture.
