Wallace și Gromit au pus bazale unei brutării, Top Bun, și au transformat localul de pe strada West Wallaby 62 într-un grânar plin de cuptoare, brațe robotice pentru frământat și o moară de modă veche pe acoperiș. Transformarea este perfectă. Deși afacerea merge bine, Gromit este îngrijorat de vestea că mai mulți brutari locali au ‘dispărut’ în acest an – însă Wallace nu-și face griji. Este prea îndrăgostit de Piella Bakewell. Deși ei se bucură de multă atenție, Gromit își să seama că viața stăpânului său e în pericol și se transformă în detectiv pentru a rezolva misterul disparițiilor.
