Na een verloren rechtszaak lukt het Joe Goodis om weer werk te krijgen bij een reclamebureau. Hij leert daar de knappe Juliette kennen, met wie hij een relatie krijgt. Hun geluk is helaas van korte duur, wanneer de directrice zich door de flinke financiële tegenvallers genoodzaakt ziet faillissement aan te vragen. Dan laat Juliette zich van haar donkere zijde zien. Teneinde financiële onafhankelijkheid te kunnen waarborgen, stelt ze Joe voor het zoontje van de directrice te kidnappen.
