Alkis (1970)
Alkis explores the emotional journey a person goes through when trying to understand what it means to feel alienated from their own cultural heritage and find their path back to it. Alkis shows us various traditional Lithuanian music, dance, and folklore and sees how infusing contemporary queer versions of those art forms can bring a deeper understanding of how queerness and tradition can intersect.
