He is the co-founder and president of Les Films du Clair-Obscur, a production company dedicated to supporting young artists in their work while developing original and ambitious projects A self-taught filmmaker with no formal film school training, Julien directed his debut film, Souffrir ou être heureux (To Suffer or Be Happy), in 2023. The film explores the complexities of human relationships—a recurring theme in his work. Known for his sensitivity and visual storytelling, he frequently collaborates with young director Darius Robin on various productions. After writing his first film himself, Julien now works with different screenwriters on his upcoming projects, aiming to further explore the emotional depth and intricacies of human connections.
